We are excited to announce the lineup for our biannual Group Sculpture Invitational opening May 28 in our Truist Event Gallery! This biannual show offers a mix of local & regional artists that will each be showing a variety of 2D & 3D works with a range of sculptural styles and materials. With this juxtaposition in mind, the show is sure to be one of our most exciting of the year!

Of the 11 featured artists, local artists include Kathi Balckmon, Elizabeth Laul Healey, Kim Hennes, Ash Hayford, Alison Howard, and Ezra Lambert; and Raleigh artists Caprice McNeill, Tonya Solley Thornton, Tina Marcus, Oami Powers and Jennifer Siegel from Apex.

A smooth, leather-hard clay surface is like an untouched garden bed, prepped for imagination to take over. My hand-carved designs are inspired by plants and organic landscapes; flowing intuitively around each form, layers of flecks and spirals meet. I am forever in love with the way clay blooms. Welcoming these textures indoors, expanding upon both functionality and beauty, is an ambiance worth cultivating.
